Preschool Graduations!!

It is always a great joy to see my children graduate! This year was such a fun experience for all of us! Of course, I have a graduation program for my little 3/4 year old class. It is their first year of Preschool for most of them. We began with each child singing one of their favorite Nursery Rhyme songs that we learned during the year. They all did such a cute job! I know the parents were so proud! I could really tell by all of the cameras flashing! I had them sitting with their red cap and "dads white shirt" buttoned in the back as their gown. SOOO cute!!!

Then of course my 4/5 year old class came wearing their "dads" white shirt and a black cap for the graduate moving on to kindergarten! They performed some cute songs that we learned and also had speaking parts memorized. I was so proud of the great job they did. We did our circle time for the last time together. Kind of sad:( and then I presented them with the certificate of graduation. On to Kindergarten we come!!!

3 year old Farm tour!

Today was our 3 year old farm tour. The weather was beautiful! My mom was the driver of the golf cart and Lindsay had some time off from work to help me with the tour around the farm. I had six of my 3 year old children. They were excited to "hop aboard" the golf cart and see the farm animals. I took a lot of pictures of the children with the pigs, cows, chickens, feeding the calves and looking for eggs. It was a FUN day!! We enjoyed snack time on the golf cart. I can't wait for my 4 year old farm tours in April!

I got some fun gifts for valentines this year! My Preschool children gave me roses, candy, and such cute valentine cards which I love them all and thank you for thinking of me! Chloe gave me such a cute "alphabet" picture that spelled out "I love you" so cute. I will definitely put it in my Preschool room. We had a fun Valentine party, making fun papers and playing fun games. I love these sweet children and of course, making fun Preschool memories!!

Kelsie's 3rd Birthday!!

I cannot believe our granddaughter Kelsie is 3 years old today! She is such a sweet and beautiful little girl and we love her so much. Grandpa, Lindsay, Heath and I visited her and spent her birthday with her and her Mom, Dad and Connor. It is fun to see and hear her talk and what a wonderful little vocabulary she has. She talks like a little grown up and she is such a big sister to brother Connor.
We are so thrilled to to be her grandparents!

I love my Christmas party's! It is a fun couple of months preparing songs and getting the preparations for the BIG day! I think my Christmas party and program is one of my favorite Preschool holidays! The children sang beautiful! It is always fun having our "gift exchange". I think that is the children's favorite part!!:)

I enjoy my Preschool and the SWEET children I have! They definitely bring me lots of fun times with them. This week we have been making lots of fun crafts for Halloween. Here is my 3 year old class showing off their CANDY CORN hats! I think they really had fun gluing them together and then wearing them. They wore them the whole class time!! So cute!! I just had to take a picture of them and those smiles!!

Graduation Time!!

The end of May was my Preschool graduations!!
It has been a fun year of learning! These children
amaze me with the excitement they have. Every year
I see lots of growth and change. It is a joy to see them
writing their names, counting, color words, writing and
knowing the alphabet. This group of children have loved
singing. Who knows I might see a few on "American Idol"
I will miss my 4 year olds as they will go to Kindergarten.
I am excited to have many of my 3 year olds coming back
in the Fall as my 4 year olds!!! I have LOVED being a part
of their Preschool experience!!

Farm Tour

In March we had our farm tour. For the
the month of February and March we have
learned about all the farm animals. We then
had a golf cart ride around the farm with Mom
being our driver. Thanks mom! It was a beautiful day!

HEATH is home!!

Heath came home on Wednesday, April 21. He served in the Argentina, Neuquen Mission. He was such a wonderful missionary and loved the people and companions he served with. We are proud of him !! He arrived at 9:30 a.m. We were so HAPPY to see him at the airport!!! We appreciate all the love and support of our families.

It was such a fun experience to see Heath and Grant as they saw each other for the first time after two years! What JOY it is to have our sons together again!! It has been a great blessing having missionaries in our home!

GRANT IS HOME!!

Grant is home from Latvia where he served a two year
mission. We are so proud of him!! He came home
Thursday.March 18 at 11:30 p.m. What a wonderful
group of family and friends were with us to welcome
Elder Grant Farnsworth home on a very late Thursday.

He looked wonderful and I got the first hug!! We are
enjoying him home!! We have been shopping, eating,
visiting, more eating and more shopping. It has been
so FUN enjoying him! He learned how to speak
Latvian and Russian! It has been neat hearing him
speak these languages.

Now we are anxiously waiting for Elder Heath Farnsworth.
He will be home from Argentina on April 20!!!.

has devoted his time and many hours with the
scouting program. He loves it and always gives
110% to this program. He received on Friday
January 5 the Silver Beaver award it is the highest
award that you can receive in Scouts. I am proud

This is my 3rd Preschool Halloween
party. It was one of my favorites!
Probably because Mom, Kristi and Lindsay
did all of the setting up and games.
They did so much work!! It was a great
PARTY . I broke my ankle a few weeks before
and wasn't much help. Thank you to all of
my family for helping me so that I could
go ahead with my Halloween party.

HaPPy 25th BirtHDay To Trevor!

I have loved every minute being a mom!
well, I don't have babies, I have been there
and loved it! Don't even have teenagers
anymore. I do miss those times a little. But,
now I am enjoying adults and sweet
grandchildren! Trevor has always been a lot
of fun to be around. When he was younger he
loved soccer, hiking and camping and even school.
Always a great example to his older sister and
younger brothers. Now he is a husband to Lori
and a father to Kelsie (20 months) and Connor (2 months).

He works at UPS early in the mornings and attends A.S.U
with a full load of classes majoring in Meteorology.
Trevor has always had a great desire to do his best in all he does.
We are proud of his accomplishments!

We enjoyed a great time at Roosevelt during Fall Break!
This is our 20th year as a family. We started coming to
Roosevelt when Lindsay was 18 months old. I have
always loved the comfortable surroundings. The homes
have always been nice, quiet and so serene that when
it is time to go home I can't wait to come the next year!
As our children have grown the Lodge has been a favorite.
There are lots of games and a big screen TV.

It was fun having Trevor, Lori, Kelsie and Connor with us!
Kelsie loves going on walks up to the Lodge for an ice cream treat!
We are already planning our next trip to Roosevelt.

Grant and Heath will be with us next year!!

a busy day!!

Thursday, August 13th is Connor's
Birthday! I was able to be at the hospital
very early 5:30 to be exact! You could tell
I wasn't excited at all??!! Lori and Trevor
had to be at the hospital at 4:30 a.m!
They had a" sweet bundle of joy" at 6:05 a.m.
Lori had a C-Section and everything went very
well! Trevor took lots of pictures and while I
was in the waiting room he came and showed
some cute pictures to me. I couldn't wait to meet
my little grandson in person!! within in a few
hours I was able to hold SWEET Connor!

since our boys are away serving missions.

We have received some wonderful pictures

was a very special month for them.
Both of our sons had baptisms! They have
been working so hard. They love their missions

David has enjoyed every minute building a shed!
Every night that he doesn't have a meeting
he is working long hours into the night.
It amazes me the things he does! I feel so
blessed to have him in my life. My job
is to bring him cold glasses of water, good
conversation, and the photographer. Our
missionaries love seeing what has been
keeping dad busy.

David had surprised me a few days before
Mother's Day with 4 beautiful hanging baskets.
He said that he wanted me to enjoy them for a
long time. He took my hand and led me out to my
flower baskets! They are hanging along my walk way
to my Preschool room. I love them and I love my sweetie
for giving me a wonderful Mother's Day. Now each
morning as I walk with the children to my Preschool
room I enjoy them along with my sweet children !

I also enjoyed some wonderful visits with my sons
Grant and Heath. All in all it was one of the best
memorable Mother's Days!

30 years!! at S.R.P.

Where has all the time gone?? David started working
at Salt River Project when we were still dating.
We will celebrate our 29 years in August.
I would drive past his house drop off a candy bar
and a note in his mailbox. I couldn't see him enough!!
I thought of him constantly!! I guess you could say
I was IN LOVE!! Then I would see him doing road
work for SRP on my way to work every morning. We
would give each other BIG SMILES.

Some great memories!!

We celebrated David's 30 years by eating a dinner at
Camel back Inn and they recognized him with a slide show.
It was a wonderful evening!! I am soo proud of him he has
always provided a nice home for me and our children.

Happy Mother's Day to the most wonderful,
loving, giving, understanding, beautiful inside and out,
BEST GRANDMA, fun, great advice, good listener
etc... the list goes on and on of the great
qualities my mom has!

She gives of her time to each of her daughters!
It has been such a great blessing of having my
mom as my neighbor for 20 years!!

For our Mother's Day celebration we met at Kathy's
home for some long overdue pictures with our mom!
Then we headed to Texas Roadhouse for a yummy
dinner! Last, SHOPPING is always a fun way to end
a very special day!!

My mom, sisters.. Kathy, Debbie,Kristi also my great
sister-in-laws Sandra and Stephanie all live within a few
miles of each other. We get together quite a bit and it
has been a lot of fun.

It was a great Month of March! Grant had
mentioned on one of his emails that he was
sending us a package. Our first one! We were
anxious to get it. He had told us that he would
send us some Latvian chocolate, a book of Riga,

package it was just like Christmas! It was
a wonderful day. I couldn't take the smile

We had the best time camping with
Trevor, Lori, and Kelsie during Spring break!
It was a well deserved vacation for all of us.
The campsite was beautiful and we had
some chilly nights and some rainy days.
David, Trevor, and Lori went on a hike and
I got to stay with Kelsie! She is such a sweetie
and she loves wanting to get down and walk, walk
and walk some more. She is growing so fast and
keeps us on our toes! I love being a Grandma!
David cooked some yummy Chicken and Rice in
the dutch oven and biscuits. We also enjoyed
SMORES for dessert! As you can see we eat
pretty well! We eat much better camping then
at home and that's the truth!

What a FUN time I had having Lacey, my sweet
niece come and help me with my Preschool class.
She did an awesome job with circle time and had fun
reading 2 books to the children. She kept their
attention very good. I think she would

I have seen a lot of changes in my Preschool
room from the very beginning of my first classes.
I had asked David, my wonderful talented
husband if he could build me some BIG
bookshelves for my Preschool room. He said I sure can!
He drew up some plans, we headed to LOWES
and in 2 days I had some beautiful bookshelves! Not
only does it hold all of my books, it also holds lots of
puzzles and games! Thank you sweetie for all you
do for me!!
This has been a dream come true for me!
I love being with these sweet children! They are
learning so fast and they are so much fun to be with!

My Mountain Man!!

How many of you can say that you
have a MOUNTAIN MAN living in
your home? We'll, I can. David has
been growing a beard since New Years
Day. He is the leader of the MOUNTAIN
MAN RENDEZVOUS which is an activity
for the Varsity Scouts and their leaders.
This weekend is it and it involves 21 Stakes
all over the East Valley. He has been very
busy and we are excited it is finally here!
As soon as he gets home the BEARD COMES OFF!!

We just celebrated our sweet Granddaughter
Kelsie's 1st Birthday on February 10th.
My goodness how quickly the time has
gone by. Just one year ago we were
so BLESSED and HAPPY for the birth of our
first grandchild. It was fun to have Trevor
and Lori calling us with Kelsie's exciting
FIRSTS. Her first smile, rolling over, sitting up,
pat-a-cake, waving good bye, first words
(ma-ma and da-da), walking etc... It has been
a great blessing to live close to Kelsie that when
Grandma needs to hold and play with her it is just a short
drive away. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU KELSIE LOVE,

David and I went to Trevor and Lori's
home last night. We were so excited to
see our granddaughter walking and showing
off for us. WOW! did she ever it was so
much fun to see her getting up in the middle
of the floor and walk to me with the biggest
smile on her face. My camera was not working
very well so I will post on my blog what I have
now and I will take more later. I guess I am just
a very proud Grandma!!

Road to Recovery!

Lindsay came to me about a month ago
and asked me to feel the bottom of her foot.
She had some pain when she put any
pressure on it and felt a bump on the
arch of her right foot.

I felt it and knew that it didn't feel right.
I looked at it and told her that we needed to make an
appointment with a Podiatrist.
The next week Lindsay was getting an MRI
and the Dr. gave her a date for surgery
January 15th. She recovered well from the surgery
and now she is learning how to use CRUTCHES.
Quite a big adjustment, she will be on these things for
3 looong weeks Well, 1 week down and 2 weeks to go.
Lindsay is back to work at Power Ranch Elementary and
she said that many of the children are helping
her by opening doors and carry her bags. What
sweeties!! Lindsay will be getting the stitches out
February 2! YIPPE! and then NO MORE CRUTCHES!

celebrated New Years at our home.
Everyone brings a dessert or a finger food
to snack on. What a wild night of eating,
playing games, and lots of laughing and
enjoying each other's company. How the
time flies and then it is time to put on our hats
and blow the noise makers that Grandma always
brings for us. Then we get the Martinelli's
ready to drink. Then the count down begins...

David and I had bought 2 tickets last year
from my sister Kathy who works for U.S Air
We could fly anywhere that
U.S Air fly's and we had a year to use
the tickets. Well, with only 3 days left
to go we decided to fly to San Francisco.
What a good choice we made.
There was never a dull moment we
were busy from sun up to sun down.
The weather was beautiful and we rode
on Trolley's, electric buses, the Bart,
and a double Decker bus. We also cruised
under the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz.
We did a lot of walking and ate at some
yummy restaurants. It was a lot of fun
spending time together. We are talking
and making plans for our next vacation.

It has been a busy month of decorations,
practicing our songs, and lots of
excitement as we have been preparing and
waiting for our Preschool Christmas program.
It is finally here!
On Wednesday and Thursday we
had fun singing, eating and opening gifts.
I have so much fun being with these
wonderful children! They have really
brightened up my Holidays. I hope
they have a Merry Christmas. I will
be happy to see them the first of the year.

Our boy's are in far away lands
serving missions. I couldn't let this
special day go by with out wishing
them a Happy Birthday!! I do
miss them, but they love their
missions with all of their hearts, and
this is where they want to be, serving
the Lord and teaching the Gospel. It
is such a blessing to receive their emails
and to hear of all their wonderful
experiences.
We are so grateful for our boy's and I
wish I could give them big hugs and kisses,
but I will have to wait 16 months.
On Christmas Day we will be talking to them.
I CAN'T HARDLY WAIT!!
The boy's emailed us yesterday and we are
making arrangements for those long awaited
phone calls!
I searched thru some of my scrapbooks for
pictures of Grant and Heath. It was so much fun.
I cried a little and laughed a little and 2 hours
later I was still looking at pictures and
remembering all the memories we had together
as a family when they were little.

I love this time of year. It is
finally beginning to feel like the
Holidays! The weather is turning
cooler and I have enjoyed digging out
my Winter clothes. I just put on
my flannel sheets and I can't wait
to crawl into them tonight. I have so
much to be thankful for especially this
beautiful time of year.

Trevor and Lori's new home!!

Trevor and Lori have been waiting
for a few months now to hear from the realtor
about a home that they had put a bid on.
They had called us with the good news that
the house was theirs. I watched Kelsie
while they went and signed the papers.
They got such a wonderful deal on this home
and David and I felt like this was going to
be the house that they had been waiting for.

Three days last week we had a lot of fun
moving them into their home. It has 3
bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It has beautiful
shutters throughout. I told Lori I am a
little jealous because I have always wanted
shutters! Great Grandma Greer came
out to be Kelsie's babysitter while Lori and
I went through boxes and got the kitchen
and bedrooms in order. Trevor and David were
busy moving furniture. This is a big step for
them and we are so excited to be apart of
this big memory in their life!

October has always been a busy month for
our family. Through the years we have always
planned vacations, party's and many family
get together's celebrating Birthdays. First,
I would like to wish Trevor a Happy 24th

Birthday October 10th.

I would like to share with you

some special qualities. I love about
my awesome son, Trevor:

As a child he was a wonderful example to
his brother's and sister. When the twins were
born he was the" go getter" he was only
3 years old but I could ask him for diapers,
bottles, diaper bag and he would always
bring it to me with a smile!

At 5 years old he was quite the singer.
Country music was his favorite. He would
always serenade us in the car.

He was always an obedient and a loving child
always striving to keep the commandments.

At his baptism he sang all four verses
of nephi's Courage all by himself.

In sixth grade he was the
Student Body President.

Awesome Soccer player

Served an honorble mission to Ecuador.

Married in the Mesa, Arizona Temple to
Lori September 15, 2006.

Became a loving and fun dad to Kelsie
February 10th. I love how he plays

with her. You can see how he loves her,
and she loves her dad.

He is a hard worker. He works two jobs
and goes to school working on his degree.

They have purchased their own home that
they will move into soon.

How blessed we are to have Trevor our
eldest son, as part of our eternal family.
Now he is beginning an eternal family of his
own with his sweet wife, Lori and daughter Kelsie.
What wonderful memories we are enjoying!

We had a FUN time at Roosevelt this weekend!
We always plan a BIG family vacation together.
There are houses that SRP rents to Employees.
THANK YOU Honey for always arranging this
Fun time. We have had as many as 30 family
members come. It is a GREAT time had by all.
Not only do we enjoy yummy food, there
is a big lodge that has pool tables, air hockey,
ping pong tables, and this is where most
of the children like to be. There is a store where
we enjoy ice cream cones! Everyone
comments , "See ya next year!" "Same time
same place." Being together with our
family is a wonderful blessing and always special

on their 2nd Anniversary today! How fast time
flies. They are such a sweet couple with a

It is so hard for me to imagine that we have
been married for 28 years. Where has the
time gone? I have enjoyed every minute
with David. We have shared many wonderful
memories together as a couple. Through the years
we have had tons of fun, a few trials that strenghtened
our marriage . Our children have been
our greatest blessings. They have always been such
good examples and we have always been so proud of
them. Wow, and now we are Grandparents!!

serving for 5 looong months!
Rawson is a city right near the Atlantic Ocean.
It is a fishing area and he is hoping

August is an exciting month for Will.
On Sunday night August 10th
he had his Eagle Court of Honor. It was a
very special program. A farewell get-to-gether
will be Friday, August 15th at his home.
Wednesday August 20th he reports to the
M.T.C to begin his mission. He will be serving
in the Frankfurt, Germany Mission!
Will, Grant and Heath have been friends
since 1st grade. We have enjoyed him in our
home and have seen him grow into a fine young
man. Congratulations Will! You will be an

The tables were decorated with cowboys boots
with white flowers in them. Dad was a dairyman
for over 30 years. The boots were a fun reminder
of many wonderful years together on the dairy.

wonderful examples to me and my family. What
a blessing it has been to have mom and dad as our
neighbors. We Love You!

Great Grandma Greer came down to Grandma Farnsworth's
and gave Kelsie at five month's old her first golf cart ride.

David and Tanner kept us very well stocked with
firewood every morning. Thanks for the warm

our funnest memories together. Our children
are going in all different directions this year. Lindsay
was working, Trevor is married to Lori and has
blessed us with our sweet granddaughter
Kelsie. Heath and Grant are serving missions.
It is quiet at home so David and I decided to go camping
in the mountains and enjoy the company of my sisters
Kathy and Kristi and their families for the 4th of July.
We enjoyed playing games, eating, going on hikes, bike riding,
more eating, and some fun games of softball! It rained
everyday. It was beautiful. My mom ,dad and Cydnee

came up and stayed most of Friday.
Brad, Stephanie, Parker and Bryce also visited.
It was fun having them with us. For dinner we had
sloppy joes and had smores for dessert. Yum Yum!
That was a big hit! When it was dark we enjoyed
having a movie night with popcorn and hot chocolate.

It was a fun time had by all. We sure hated to come

back home to the heat.

Again we are headed to Provo, Utah to take Heath to the
M.T.C. He is to report Wed. April 16th. Grant has been
at the M.T.C. for 5 weeks already. So Heath is ready to
join him. It was a windy and cold morning when we
dropped Heath off. We went again to the chapel where
the missionary orientation was. This is where we
say goodbye. I know this would not be easy but Heath
kept telling me mom "I am so happy and I will be just fine."
As I gave him a big kiss and hug he turned and left
excited to start his mission. I left again being proud and
was hoping that Heath and Grant would be able to see
each other soon.

Provo, Utah. He was to report Wed. March 12th
to the M.T.C. Was I ready for this? Grant was
so excited to be a missionary and start his
mission. It was very hard for me to say goodbye for
two years. When it was time to say goodbye at the M.T.C
I did'nt want to let him go. I gave him a big hug and kiss
the tears were just flowing but when
he turned around he had the biggest smile I
had ever seen. I wiped away my tears and walked
right out the door. Grant's letters and emails
have kept me happy. He is doing wonderful!!

and Grant will serve in Latvia. We had a wonderful

We had anxiously been waiting for Heath's missionary packet.
We were going to the mail like "clock work"same time, same place,
everyday! On Wednesday, January 30 Heath's Grandpa Greer,
knocked on the door with a big smile on his face and said
"I have a big white envelope" for Elder Heath Philip
Farnsworth! Heath Comes in takes the packet from Grandpa
and begins feeling and trying to peek in it. I grabbed it from
Heath saying again "No not yet" Lets call family and friends for
the big OPENING! Soo ,once again our wonderful family and
friends headed back out to the Farnsworth's so Heath could
open his missionary packet. Everyone took a piece of paper
and wrote down where they thought Heath would be serving
his mission. Brother Curt Holbrook had said "Heath you will
be serving in Argentina. As Heath opened his packet another
"HUSH came over the room. You could hear a pin drop.
Heath then read "You have been called to the Argentina, Neuguen
mission! Spanish Speaking. Wow, Brother Holbrook was right!! Heath
will report to the MTC April 16, 2008
Our two sons will be serving the Lord
at opposite ends of the world! How proud we are of them.
They will be wonderful missionaries!

On Wed. January 23, 2008 I headed for the mailbox
as I usually do. I brought out a big white envelope
that said Elder Grant Edward Farnsworth. Wow,
I was so excited but feeling emotional that Grant
was going to be on a mission serving the Lord. As
a little boy he has always wanted to be a missionary.
I headed home as fast as I could opened the door
saying "Grant guess what I have?" he came in
grabbed it from me and said "I am opening it now"
with a big smile! I said "no not yet". We need to
call our family and friends to take part on the
OPENING of your call. We had wonderful support
from family and friends. Grant opened his packet
at 7:00 p.m. There was a HUSH in the crowd as
Grant said You are assigned to the Baltic Mission!
I said "Where is the Baltic?" He continued
telling us that it is in Eastern Europe. He will
be serving in Latvia but the mission also includes
Estonia and Lithuania. He will be learning the
Latvian language. We have spent a lot of time on
the internet. Grant is excited to serve and reports
to the MTC on Wed. March 12, 2008.

On February 10th 2008 Lori was at the hospital in labor!!

David and I were asked to speak in sacrament! My heart &

mind were definately at the hospital with Trevor and Lori

But....we were trying to be obedient to the Bishop. As soon

as our talks were done we ran as quickly as we could to the

car and headed to the hospital! We were so excited to meet

our sweet grand daughter! She weighed 5lbs. 11oz. and was

19 inches long.

We just love her and enjoy being grandparents!
